Outdoor Economics Conference

All things outdoors, including how to protect it, its economy, and how it's growing was the topic of discussion when Executive Director of Outdoor New Mexico stopped by Visit Las Cruces. In addition to learning the economic impact the outdoor and the accompanying industry affects Southern New Mexico, there will be expos, tours and meals provided to everyone who signs up for the conference scheduled from Sept. 23-25 at the Las Cruces Convention Center. Celebration of Authors

With the Celebration of Authors event happening Sept. 21, Diego Salazar, president of the Las Cruces Writers group, stopped by Visit Las Cruces to discuss how attending can polish one's writing skills and learn how to publish one's written work. The free event will be taking place at the Elks Lodge, 3000 Elks Drive, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and in addition to the workshops, books from local authors can be purchased with the opportunity to have them signed.

Test your cornhole throwing skills against other cornhole players when the NM Best Showdown 2024 Cornhole Tournament takes place. The largest cornhole competition in the southwest pits baggers against baggers at the Las Cruces Convention Center Aug. 30-Sept.1.
